If you're seeing a notification that won’t go away — even after you've taken action (such as accepting a buddy request) — this guide will walk you through some steps that may help resolve the issue.
✅ Step-by-Step Troubleshooting
1. Log Out and Back In
Start by logging out of the app completely, then logging back in. This can refresh your account’s connection to the app and often clears lingering notifications.
2. Uninstall and Reinstall the App
If logging out doesn’t work, try uninstalling and then reinstalling the app. This provides a more forceful refresh and ensures you're running the latest version of the app, which may be required for the system to correctly register your current status (e.g. already being buddies).
3. Clear App Cache (Optional, if applicable)
On Android devices, you can also try clearing the app cache:
-
Go to Settings > Apps > [App Name]
-
Tap Storage
-
Tap Clear Cache
Note: iOS does not offer an option to clear app cache manually.
4. Force Close and Restart the App
Sometimes, simply force-closing the app and opening it again can clear a stuck notification.
