Cancellation or Mid-Term Transfer Requests

Members occasionally request to cancel their membership or transfer to another club part-way through their membership term. Once membership funds have been paid to the home club, any cancellation or transfer request is entirely at the discretion of the club. The club is under no obligation to approve a cancellation, refund, or transfer request. The Golf Club remains financially responsible for the balance of Home Points held by its members

Medical or Injury-Related Requests

If a member wishes to cancel their membership due to illness, injury, or other medical circumstances, they should contact their home club directly to discuss the situation.

As each club operates independently and any decision to allow a cancellation, extension, transfer, or refund rests with the club, PlayMoreGolf cannot guarantee the outcome of these requests.

How Cancellations Impact Clubs

Whether the membership was:

  • Paid in full via Stripe (PIF), or
  • Paid monthly through Premium Credit (PCL),

any approved mid-term cancellation or transfer may result in a financial clawback to the club.

This clawback can be influenced by several factors, including:

  • The number of Home Points remaining on the member's account.
  • Any value already utilised by the member.
  • Any applicable Premium Credit settlement or clawback amounts.
  • Whether a refund is due and, if so, how that refund is calculated.

The exact financial impact varies on a case-by-case basis, which means there is no standard clawback or refund figure that can be quoted in advance.

Seeking Advice

Because every membership, payment method, and points balance is different, Customer Services must review each case individually.

If a member or club would like an assessment of a specific cancellation or transfer request, they should contact:

customerservices@playmore.golf

The Customer Services team will review the individual circumstances and advise on the potential implications, including any applicable clawback or refund calculations.
